RDU Observation Deck

James has really been into airplanes lately. We took him to our small local airport one Saturday and saw a few small planes take off and land. He has been talking about it a lot since then. So after the museum today, we went to the Observation Deck at RDU to see the "BIG" planes take off and land. We packed a lunch and got to watch several planes. I think we will be going back to do this again!

Marbles Museum

We decided to take James to Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh today. We were able to meet up with Fairley, David, and Annabel, which was also an extra treat! It took James some time to get used to the space. He kept wanting Yancey to hold him. But finally, he was able to enjoy part of it. He LOVED driving the ambulance and the fire truck. He wanted nothing to do with the dress up part of it, but give him a big steering wheel, and he is happy. We went upstairs and they have a large pig that hangs over a collection of plastic balls. There are several ways the kids can get the balls to go up a conveyor line type thing to get back into the pig. Once so many of the balls get back into the big, the bottom of the pig opens and the balls fall into the open collection space. Yancey was under this downpour of balls when we first got to this spot. James had a great time pushing the balls in all the different displays! It was such a fun time, and hopefully we can go back again.

Fire Truck

We took James to see the Fire trucks at the Fire Station today. He was excited about it until it was time to actually see them. I think the size of the trucks scared him. Hopefully if we take him back in the future, he will like it better.

Snowman Pictures

James has the cutest outfit with a snowman on it. The other day we took some pictures of him and he had the best time! It was like he was having a photo shoot!

Things I don't won't to forget

James is quite the character lately. I wanted to write these down so I don't forget them.
1. He is OBSESSED with shoes. He has to wear them all the time and so does everyone else who is around. He will even go to the closet and bring you a matching pair if you need some.
2. His favorite number is 2. He wants 2 pieces of candy, 2 vitamins, wants to see 2 tractors, etc...
3. His speech has gotten much better and can actually say something like "yes"...we are use to hearing NO all the time.
4. This week he told us he wanted to ride in an airplane and so we took him to the local airport. Since then, he has been saying things like "plane take off" and "Plane land"...
5. He knows we go to "chuch" to sing (church)
6. He knows he has 2 nanas (again, his favorite number). I'm trying to get him to say Nana Jane for my mom.
7. Oh, he has lost his bottom 2 front teeth and something is growing in that space now.
