Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year. James was so excited to wear his fireman outfit. I didn't attempt to send Emma Lou to school in an outfit, but she wore a really cute pumpkin outfit. I went to James' class party and got to see them all dressed up! I stopped by Emma Lou's class to check on them too! After school, we got ready for dinner and fun at Church. We put Emma Lou in a flower outfit and she did much better than I expected. Our church does a hot dog dinner and instead of Trunk or Treat, they did a HALL-o-ween and have different rooms set up down a long winding hall in our basement and the kids get to get candy that way! James was very excited about his "bucket" of candy and snacks!

Playing on the swing set

The other afternoon was perfect to play outside. The kids loved swinging and Emma Lou went down the slide for the first time (well, with some help!).

Story time with Daddy

Lately, James loves it when Yancey tells the story, "The 3 Little Pigs". I got this picture the other night while they were on the swing hearing the story.

Happy Birthday Granddaddy Tom!

A few weekends ago, we went to Selma to celebrate my grandfather's birthday. All but 3 family members were able to make it! I was glad to see my grandfather get to hold Emma Lou since he hasn't been feeling well lately. James had the best time playing with his cousins' cars! There are always some little boys toys around. Emma Lou is the first girl in the family since me...there have been 7 baby boys.
