Marbles Kids Museum

Yesterday, we met up with Fairley, David, Annabel, and Bert at Marbles Kids Museum. Yancey's aunt and uncle gave us a family membership last Christmas. James looked forward to playing with the fire truck, ambulance, and pirate ship. I think, though, that his favorite part this time was playing with plastic boats in a prepared "stream". To be quite honest, I'm not sure what Emma Lou liked! Yancey was in charge of her and I was in charge of James. You have to tag team when they want to go in different directions! After we played, we went next door and ate at Pogo, a new restaurant.

Weekend at the beach!

This past weekend, we went to the beach with my parents. We had so much fun. The biggest highlight of the weekend was that James went fishing for the first time!! Thankfully, on the second day (he only lasted about 15 minutes the first day...and we didn't really have bait) "we" caught one. When we were finished, Yancey continued to fish with the "Lighting McQueen" fishing pole my dad bought James. Yancey caught 4 more fish! Emma Lou got a new "car" to be pushed in. She had the best time clicking and unclicking the belt! We set up a sprinkler for them to run through, but James had more fun using it to "put out the (pretend) fire on Aunt Julie's trailer". Saturday night, my dad grilled the BEST shrimp! I was really proud of James and Emma Lou for sharing a room. That worked out A LOT better than I thought!
