Emma Lou

I'm writing this so I will remember years from now all Emma Lou could do at 15 months! She can say like 30 words...mama, daddy, nana, papa, mimi, dah, ball, james, brother, swing, milk, thank you, hey, bye bye, shoe, bow, no...well, that's all I can think of right now! She tries to put on her own shoes. She folds her hands when we say the blessing. She even said something like a prayer the other day b/c something sounded like "amen". She can also scream/squill SO loud. She was biting, but hopefully we are past that. She is good listener and will go to time out by herself if I tell her to...she will put something in her closet if I tell her too. She also likes to feed Chester...oh yea, she can say "Chester"...but that's not good for Chester's tummy. She can climb to the top of the tree house by HERSELF and loves to go down the slide on her stomach. She loves to ride in the trailer part of James' tractor. Anything James can do....so can she!

Happy Mother's Day

This Sunday was Mother's Day and it was great! We went to church and then hung around the house for the afternoon. The weather was nice and so they got to play outside. I am so blessed to have a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, two grandmothers, and can't believe that I am a mother to two sweet little children. They may drive my crazy at times, but I love them so much!

Nana Jane's Birthday

The kids and I were able to go to Selma the other Sunday to help celebrate my mom's birthday. They did so well at the table...I almost didn't recognize them! My aunt and uncle did an errand and came back with 2 large plastic balls. Emma Lou and James had the best time playing with those under the carport.

Pullen Park

Mom and I took James and Emma Lou to Pullen Park the other day and it was wonderful! I hadn't been since I was little. They did a renovation a few years ago and it is perfect. The weather was great and they play Disney type music throughout the Park...almost feels like you are at Disney. I thought the train would be the biggest hit, but the boats were! I can't wait to go back!

Family Time

The other Saturday, my grandparents were able to come from Winston Salem to visit for the day. Fairley also happened to be in Oxford picking up some stuff. The weather was awesome and we got to hang out outside and let the kids play! Emma Lou LOVES the tree house and slide. She can even climb up my herself now...not very god for our nerves! Bert is such a great sport and so happy!
