One more Thanksgiving Meal

On Sunday, we had a late Thanksgiving lunch at my other grandparents house. I loved that I got to dress James and Emma Lou in matching outfits. I don't know how much longer I can do that! My aunt is an amazing piano player. He wanted her to play the small organ in the living room. He had a great time "playing" with her.

"Popcorn" is Here

We are doing the "Elf on the Shelf" this year. On Sunday morning, we had a North Pole breakfast with gingerbread shaped pancakes. James named our elf, "Popcorn". Popcorn brought a little gift to James and Emma Lou. So far, we are very interested in our elf!

James is Three!

James turned three on Friday. Since we were still in Winston Salem, I thought the only appropriate place to take him was Krispy Kreme! We had some other plans, but he started feeling bad so we had to head home. He got one of his favorite gifts from my grandparents...a garbage truck (Boys!). When we got home, we gave him Toy Story 2 and a Woody Doll. He also got a wallet (like Daddy).

Happy Thanksgiving

We went to Winston Salem this year for Thanksgiving with part of my family. My grandparents get the gym that is attached to their church so we have tons of room. There are 7 children now. They have so much space to run and be LOUD. My cousin had made little packages for the kids to find with their names on them. They had either candy or money (half dollars and dollar coins). James also got a few more birthday presents (as if he didn't already have enough).

Birthday breakfast at Day Care

I decided to take "snack" for breakfast for James' birthday instead of an afternoon snack. Who doesn't love white powdered donuts! I also stoped by Emma Lou's room to see her eat some breakfast--she had some french toast!

James' John Deere Birthday Party

I can't believe my little boy is almost 3! We celebrated his birthday this weekend with a bunch of his friends. We had a John Deere themed party. The morning started off with Yancey's cousin, William, bringing his large tractor to the house for me to use as a "prop". He took James and Yancey on a little drive. When they got back, my parents had a tractor out for James. He loves it! It took him all day to figure out that you have to press the gas pedal and turn the steering wheel at the same time! We had some close calls with the house and some bushes. Later, we had a fun party. Thankfully, the rain held off and they were able to play outside on the tractor and the swingset. Once we got them inside, we did a craft and ate some food! Everything after that is kind of a blur! Thanks to all who made it an awesome day!
