8 Months Old

James is 8 months old. Time has just flown by. When I look back at earlier posts on this blog, I can't believe how big he has gotten. He is so much fun right now and we are just loving being his parents. Although I took a pay cut, I just LOVE being home with him one day a week. It is such a wonderful privilege. Here are a few updates:

He weighs 21.5 pounds
Eats three containers of baby food a day
Drinks 4-5 bottles a day
Wears size 4 diapers
Sits up very well
Can roll in both directions with ease
Is attempting to crawl, but isn't quite strong enough
Still loves to jump
LOVES Chester and thankfully Chester is very patient

I feel so blessed that God gave us the opportunity to be parents to our sweet baby James.

Trying to Crawl!

James is trying so hard to crawl. I think he is trying to be like Ben, the little boy we share a nanny with. Ben is about two months older and has been crawling the past two weeks. James can get in the position, but then falls on his stomach.

Getting Ready

Trying

And then he falls

And ends up playing on his tummy

I bet he will be crawling soon! Chester watch out!

Watermelon...Watermelon...

Our Brother In Law has been teaching James to bang on the table to demand food (what a great role model). It happens that when he does this, we are having Watermelon. Well the other night, we let James have some. We tried giving hime small pieces, but decided to put some in his self feeder. He had such a good time and ended up being covered in sticky watermelon juice! We did call Uncle David to let him know James finally got watermelon!

COUPONS!

So I have gotten into the coupon world! I have tried for two weekends, and I have been very proud of how much money I have saved!

July 4th!

We went to the beach with my parents for July 4th. The weather was perfect! James had his own pool on the porch to play in. Thanks to my mom's friend we were able to kayak twice. Amazingly my arms aren't in too much pain. James actually watched the fireworks...well, he was looking in the direction of the fireworks! When we got back to Oxford, we took James to the local pool we just joined. He didn't like the float I bought for him to sit in, but seemed to tolerate us holding him the water. Hopefully he will start liking it better!
