Snow!

It snowed the other night and the children were so excited! James was still awake when the snow started so I let him go outside and run around a bit. He also got to have some hot chocolate. The next morning, we ate a quick breakfast and wrapped them up so they could play outside. Yancey was a good sport and pulled them in the sleds. James also had a good time pulling Emma Lou in the sled. It wasn't a good snow ball throwing snow, but James still had fun. We got to stay home and had more hot chocolate!

Happy 2014

Can't believe 2014 is here! I remember when I couldn't believe it was 2000! We had a nice "quiet" New Years Eve with Melissa, John, Parker, and Luke. I am not ashamed to say I was in bed by 9:30. Yancey did wake me up to see the ball drop! Yesterday, Emma Lou and James went to ride bikes with Parker and Luke since the older two had gotten "real" bikes recently. They have a great area to ride. Emma Lou and Luke kept us busy too!

2013

Well, 2013 was a great year for our family. Emma Lou turned 1 in February, Yancey opened his own firm in April, we spent time at the beach this summer, enjoyed some NC State football, Yancey and I celebrated 7 years of marriage in August, watched James turn 4 in November, had a blessed Christmas, and are excited about what is to come in 2014.

Christmas with the Robersons

When we left my parents house, we headed back to Oxford to have Christmas with Yancey's extended family. It was quite crazy with 5 little ones there, but still so much fun seeing everyone!

Christmas with the Hinnants

After brunch, we changed clothes and headed to Selma to have Christmas dinner with my moms side of the family. Everyone wasn't there this year, but we still had 23 of us. Again, the children got gifts and the adults played white elephant. After the presents, it's always time for grandmas treats. When we finished,we headed to Wilson to stay with my parents. The next morning the children got gifts from my parents and they cooked a great breakfast!
