Strawberry Pickin'

I have never been to pick strawberries. I convinced Yancey that James needed to do this...but I was really the most excited. James did so well! This farm had the best homemade strawberry Popsicles. Yancey said it was like frozen strawberry jam! Yum!! I was a bit disappointed when I got home and a lot of our strawberries were kinda mushy. Yancey said he was entertaining James more than watching to see how good the strawberries they picked were!

James' New Car!!

I have been wanting to get James the "Flinstone" car...the Cozy Coupe. I was driving down the road the other day and saw someone selling one. I was so excited...they only wanted $20.00. This is the best $20 I have spent on James. He has spent hour playing with it (after I cleaned it of course!) Parker and Matthew also enjoyed playing with it at play group the other day. As always, the red wagon is still a big hit!

Last Kinderbabies

Our church doesn't do Wednesday night activities in the summer, so last night was our last Kinderbabies until the fall. I have enjoyed this group so much. It has been so neat to see the kids grow in the last few months. Some who were in a car seat are now sitting up, some are walking, some are jumping, etc. James has really enjoyed going as well. He claps after every song we sing! We have also been able to meet some other friends who aren't members of our church. Since it was the last night, a lot of the dads were there and everyone had cameras. James did SO good!

Mother's Day Weekend

For Mother's Day weekend this year, we went to my grandparents' house in Winston Salem. There is a wonderful park near my grandparents' house, so after lunch on Saturday we headed there. James had the best time in the swings! You better be ready to go home when you take him out, because he doesn't like getting out. The grown ups had fun too! Unfortunately James didn't have a good night. I think some teeth were coming in and he screamed and screamed. We ended up going for 2 rides in the car to settle him down. During the second ride, Yancey and I decided Krispy Kreme would make "us" feel better. Sunday morning, my grandfather's foot was swollen and had a fever in it. My dad and grandmother took my grandfather to the hospital. Thankfully it was nothing serious. I had told me grandmother how cute James was going to look for church. Since we didn't make it to church, we still dressed James us in his church outfit so she could see it!
