Train Ride!!

We told James that when he started using the potty and didn't need diapers anymore (during the day), he would get to ride a REAL train. We have the perfect situation since Amtrack runs from Wilson to Selma (a block from my grandparents). He was extremely excited about the reward and it really didn't take long for him to get potty trained. We went to Wilson that morning and my folks took us to the train station. When we got on, they drove to Selma with Emma Lou and met us there. James got to meet the Conductor and an Assistant Conductor who gave him a light stick. He and I walked to the next car where the snacks where and got a drink. The length of the ride was perfect, about 20 minutes. When we arrived in Selma and got off, my grandparents where standing there with balloons for him!

Easter Egg Hunt

The other weekend Melissa had an Easter Egg Hunt for our children. Parker is really into Easter this year and was so excited about the egg hunt. James did pretty well. I think he would have kept playing with Mr. John if we hadn't told him to do the hunt. After playing outside, we had a great hotdog lunch. I am so thankful for their friendship.

Emma Lou's Birthday

February 5th was Emma Lou's first birthday! She woke up to a beautiful tent, thanks to her great aunt Brenda and Uncle Wade. She did great at her year check up and is the 75% of everything!

Snow

A few weekends ago, we it snowed all day! It was so pretty. James had a great time this winter driving his tractor in the snow (and pulling Emma Lou along for rides).
