Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve was at our house again this year. My parents were able to come this year as well! Mom and James made cookies for Santa that afternoon and then the fun began watching James, Annabell, and Emma Lou play. We had so much wonderful food that everyone brought. James was so funny when it was time to put out food for the reindeer...he kept looking up in the sky and backing up towards the door as if the reindeer were going to fall out of the sky! When he got back inside, he started telling everyone that he had heard jingle bells and Santa was coming! We finished out the night with James and Emma Lou watching "Polar Express" with my parents (that was the 4th time James had watched it that day!)
Christmas with the Robersons
On the Sunday before Christmas, we left Winston Salem and headed to Wake Forest for the Roberson Family Christmas party. This is Isabel's family. We met at Aunt Kathy's house for desserts. James and Emma Lou had the BEST time playing together. I can't wait for Emma Lou and Bert to be doing the same thing in a few years. Meg and Howard couldn't come, so we FaceTimed with them. We are very lucky to have so many family members to spend time with.

Christmas in Winston Salem
We were able to go to Winston Salem the weekend before Christmas to spend time with my dad's parents and family. We had a good time at lunch and letting all the cousins play. We just took it easy and enjoyed time together. My aunt gave James a cardboard "Mater" from the Cars Movie. James and Emma Lou had so much fun playing in it. That night we opened presents with my grandparents.
Christmas Program at FBC Academy
The Day Care that James and Emma Lou go to put on a Christmas program the week before Christmas at the church across the street. I was surprised last year at how good it was. This year was even better. James' class said John 3:16 and sang two songs. Emma Lou's class came in (Emma Lou walked down the aisle) and the teachers held them while a song played and a slide show of their pictures played. The last song had all the students singing "Happy Birthday to Jesus". It was such a special afternoon.
Craft Saturday
The first Saturday in December, I wanted to get some crafts done. James and I had a good time making a gingerbread house and then I had some fun doing some footprint crafts with them. I hung their new artwork on our art wall in the den. I also made copies of their footprint manger scenes to go on their teachers' Christmas presents.
Oh Christmas Tree!
We were so excited to be able to get our Christmas Tree. James had a lot of fun helping to pick it out, get it in our house, and help get it up! Christmas was so much fun this year with James and Emma Lou loving all the lights and decorations.

One more Thanksgiving Meal
On Sunday, we had a late Thanksgiving lunch at my other grandparents house. I loved that I got to dress James and Emma Lou in matching outfits. I don't know how much longer I can do that! My aunt is an amazing piano player. He wanted her to play the small organ in the living room. He had a great time "playing" with her.
"Popcorn" is Here
We are doing the "Elf on the Shelf" this year. On Sunday morning, we had a North Pole breakfast with gingerbread shaped pancakes. James named our elf, "Popcorn". Popcorn brought a little gift to James and Emma Lou. So far, we are very interested in our elf!
James is Three!
James turned three on Friday. Since we were still in Winston Salem, I thought the only appropriate place to take him was Krispy Kreme! We had some other plans, but he started feeling bad so we had to head home. He got one of his favorite gifts from my grandparents...a garbage truck (Boys!). When we got home, we gave him Toy Story 2 and a Woody Doll. He also got a wallet (like Daddy).
