This summer we were able to come back to the beach with Yancey's family for our week vacation. Our week at the beach has changed very much since the days before children! This year, Fairley's daughter Annabel (7 months), was here. James did such a great job "helping" with her. Sadly, in the middle of the week we had to go to Winston Salem to see my Papa. He had a stroke and ended up on life support. Thankfully he is doing better. Yancey and I got back on Thursday night to enjoy the rest of our vacation. James enjoyed swinging in his swing, laying in the hammock with Yancey and playing in the baby pool. We were also able to celebrate Yancey's 35 birthday while we were at the beach.

Memorial Day Weekend
For Memorial Day weekend, we went to the beach with my parents. James still doesn't like the ocean or the sand. We tried going our for a little bit, but James didn't like it. He was ok as long as you were holding him. Some of Yancey's family was done at the cottage for the week. It was great seeing all of them and letting James play with his cousins (as long as we weren't on the beach). My parents got a James a bubble machine lawn mower. He had a lot of fun with that, even before we put the bubbles in it. While my dad was grilling dinner, my mom tried to lure the sea gulls down with pieces of bread. I'm not quite sure James ever realized why she was throwing bread in the air.
