Fun with family

Last Sunday we went to my grandparents' house in Selma to see my cousins who came from out of town. My cousin Kevin's little boy Fisher is 3 weeks older than James. As normal, Aunt Julie came with fun suprises for the boys and gave them these Red White and Blue sailor hats! It has been great having them so close together b/c I am able to talk to my cousin's wife Deanna about what Fisher is doing.

James has his own pool!

We got James his own pool to use while it is so hot! It is so much fun since he can sit up by himself now. Since the pool is just at our house, i just put on a swimming diaper, and will save the bathing suit for when we go "out"!

7 months old!

James is 7 months old today! I just can't believe it.

Here is are few updates:

He can sit up alone

He can roll both ways now

He is still wearing size 3 diapers

He wears 9 month clothes

He drinks (5) six ounce bottles a day and (2) stage 2 foods a day

We are going to start some Yo-baby yogart this week.

He has his 2 bottom teeth, but I have a feeling the top two are coming in soon

He has had his 2nd haircut

He still loves to jump!

James can sit up!

James has learned to sit up in the last few weeks. Today mom and I went out to eat and I tried letting him sit up in a highchair. Now, if I had planned on this, I would have brought the "seat protector". He did pretty well accept for the fact that the table was at the same height as his mouth and he wanted to suck on the table.

Self Feeder

We have discovered this new gadget. It is a self feeder that you can put food in and James can basically suck it through the mess. He loves bananas and we tried plums yesterday. I have frozen chunks of kiwi, apricots, pears, and plums to put in the feeder to help with teething pain.

Father's Day

We spent Yancey's first Father's Day in Winston Salem with my dad's family.

Beach Photos

We spent a week at the beach with Yancey's family. It was a change for all of us to have a baby with lots of needs during our normal relaxing vacation. Thanks to Yancey's folks and sister for all the help watching him and even for letting us go out to dinner one night.
