Visit with Claire and Katelyn

I love being able to have a day off during the week. Yancey says I'm never at home on my day off. This week's adventure was to meet Claire and Katelyn for lunch half way between Concord and Oxford. We had a great time. I can't believe how much they have grown, and that James is bigger than Katelyn!

James's Dedication

Sunday, May 9, was a special day for many reasons. It was Mother's Day, my Dad's Birthday, and James was dedicated at Oxford Baptist Church. We had a lot of family here to share this day with us! James was able to wear one of Yancey's outfits to be dedicated in.

James is really alert now and just loves to JUMP and SMILE! It's so funny to hear him laugh.

James's First Hair Cut!

In preparation for James's Dedication on Mother's day, we decided to get his hair cut. He was born with a head full of hair, but has since lost a lot. Where the back of his head has very little hair, the top and sides have a lot. I thought we could get someone to just clip the part around the ears where the hair was hanging over. We took James to Ben's Barber Shop. This is where Yancey has gotten his hair cut since he was a little boy. Ben actually gave him a real hair cut! He looks like such a big boy!

First time to the beach!!!!!!!!!!!

This Easter we went to the beach like we normally do. This was James' first time at the beach! I was determined for him to touch the sand and the water!







We were able to go visit Claire and her family at their condo! Added bonus: the Easter Bunny!!!!!!!!





Of Course the Easter Bunny came to visit James bring a "Boo-Boo Bunny". Nana Jane bought such a cute outfit and we tried to take pictures...that didn't go as well as we planned!

4 Months Old

James is 4 months old! I just can't believe it. He seems to be changing so much every day. Some updates:
He wears Size 2 diapers
Eats some rice ceral (the nanny feeds him better than I do)
Drinks five 6oz bottles a day
Has slept through the night 3 times! (not in a row!)
Turns his head and looks around while you are holding him
Smiles all the time (well not ALL the time)
Is starting to "talk" some
Wears size 6 month clothes
Weighs 15 pounds

We are still sharing a wonderful nanny with our friends Mike and Bridget. I can't wait for James and Ben to grow up together!








This past weekend we went back to Wilson to visit. We stopped by and saw Mary Hunter and Will Koster. They have a new baby girl, Della Ruth! We also got to see Bill and Olivia Boles. Their new little boy is named Bo! It's exiting for James to have some friends to play with when we go home to visit!

Supper Club!

It has been a little over a year since our supper club started! There are 6 couples and we take turns hosting the group each month. The hosts family does the main dish, and the others make the sides, desserts, etc. We have a great time and it is something I look forward to all month!
