I have been trying to get James to do some tummy time each day. So far he doesn't seem to like it very much. I feel like I am doing ok if I can only get him to do it for a few minutes each day.
Yancey put together our stroller the other night and then he said we had to go for a walk...at 9:30pm! Thankfully it wasn't that cold Monday night. James did great! Then yesterday I took him for a walk by myself. It was much colder, so I wrapped him up in a very warm blue outfit.
I have such great friends and family who have offered to come help me and also just to visit. Below are pictures of when Claire and Katelyn came, and also when my dad's parents came.
On Monday, November 23, 2009 at 10:03 pm, Yancey and I welcomed our little boy into the world. Although he was three weeks early, everything seems to be great. We decided to name him after Yancey and call him James. We were able to leave the hospital on Wednesday and be home for Thanksgiving. Below are some pictures that we have taken so far. Once I get into more of a schedule, I will update the blog on a more regular basis.
Yancey and I have been very blessed to have so many friends and family who have given us baby showers. Yancey's office gave us one, some great friends in Oxford gave me one, the famous Law School crowd threw us a couples shower, and some of Yancey's family had a shower for us. Our fantastic supper club gave us a suprise shower and some of my coworkers treated me to a wonderful lunch shower. Enjoy the pictures from some the events.
We are almost finished with the nursery...just a few more things to add. I am very pleased with how it turned out. Once we have a name for our little boy, I will do something over the crib. We have hung two pictures that were from Yancey's nursery and we are using the bassinet that I used.
This past weekend we were given a baby shower in my home town Wilson. It was so nice to see friends and family. Below are some pictures from the shower!
